Fourth Day of the Omer
I’ve been going up to work at least three days a week lately. I need the time away from home and, frankly, it’s hard to concentrate at home. It’s my way of recharging and simply letting everything be.
Today I spent most of the day in the archives storage room, typing the names of files into a spreadsheet. I love my job because I get to learn new things every day and Temple’s history is fascinating. There’s a line from Hamilton that perfectly expresses how important I think archival work is:
Legacy, what is a legacy?
It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see
“The World Was Wide Enough”
My mind has been all over the place lately, which makes it hard to sleep. So much is going on, but I’m happy that I can escape to the archives pretty regularly.
