Day 71

Some Random Thoughts

• As my 30th birthday approaches, I find myself getting more restless and, strangely, more brave. That’s probably why I decided to start doing things I wasn’t expecting: trying online dating again, becoming more involved in local and national politics, writing about more provocative topics (but that doesn’t mean I’m sharing it necessarily), elbowing (or at least feeling like I am) my way onto regional boards/leadership boards, and more. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone through such rapid change, the last time being when I began my conversion journey at Temple. I’m just curious to see how everything is going to end up.
• I had an unpleasant surprise this afternoon. It doesn’t exactly affect me directly, but it will make things super awkward.
• And, no, I have not finished my application for the writing workshop. It’s due on Wednesday.
