Counting the Omer

22 days of the Omer, which is three weeks and one day

I’m feeling better, but there is still a lot of residual sadness/trauma/uncertainty. I may end up sharing more details this week, as writing out those feelings and sharing always seems to help.

The watercolors have been helping too, as the daily practice exercises my creative muscles and also provides a daily routine, which I’ve had so little of in the past year. Beginning this project under the auspices of wanting to count the Omer has helped in making me feel more connected to Judaism, but the Omer is really just the vehicle in which I’m processing a lot of emotions, changes, and uncertainty.
