Day 144

Ever since I went to my friend Chen Chen’s poetry reading last week, I’ve been devouring more poetry than I have in my life. I’ve especially become enamored of the videos posted by Button Poetry, poets who deliver their work with such deep passion. I want to be able to do something like this one day.

The video below is one of my favorites. You can see how she’s baring her whole soul to a room full of people and she is afraid or maybe anxious, but she keeps going and you can hear the desperation that depression brings. It’s absolutely beautiful.
