Day 182
I turned in the keys to my old apartment this afternoon. It was total chance that I ended up living there in the first place. I didn’t have a lot of time to find somewhere to live at the end of November and a friend found it for me. I signed the lease without even seeing the apartment in person. Luckily, it was what I needed at the time: somewhere soft to land, close to Temple and friends. It was where I got the call that Mom had died, the last place Roxy lived, and where I called my friends in a stunned state after that impromptu date in June, which has turned into so much more, and then spent the next few hours frantically packing for an early morning flight. And now it’s on to the next chapter.
