2017 Day-By-Day

Day 88

I stayed home today because I’m sick, so you get another old poem.

Unquiet

I don’t speak very much
Each word I speak must have a purpose
Each sentence is carefully planned
I’d rather say nothing
than fill the air with empty words
They say the quietest people have the loudest minds
Perhaps that’s true
To have access to that you must know me
To know me is to earn my trust,
which is not easy to do
but if you achieve that, you will forever be invited to wade into my unquiet mind
Words are so precious to me
My lips act as a sacred messenger
So if you kiss me, you will see just how important I am
