Festival of Lights And Hope – Night One
I was in D.C. for the past few days at the Religious Action Center’s Commission on Social Action meeting and Consultation on Conscience. It was wonderful to be surrounded by like-minded social justice advocates and Reform Jews and an important reminder of why we can’t give up in the face of authoritarianism and fascism. After the horrific news about the shooting at Brown University and the terror attack on the Australian Jewish community, I needed to be reminded of why it’s essential to keep doing this work.
I came home a day early so I could celebrate Hanukkah with my family. I love my family with all my heart and our three kids are the reasons I will keep fighting for a more just world. They deserve that and so much more.
Chag Sameach!
