Day 168
I love Lego sets. There’s something really soothing about opening the box, spreading out the pieces, and building the set. My mom scoffed at me when I bought my first Lego Architecture set a couple of years ago but I just smiled as I methodically put together the pieces.
I like activities where I use my brain and hands. I love paper crafting, anything from origami to kirigami to making paper models of famous buildings. I like to crochet and occasionally do embroidery. I’ve made models of Israel for my classroom, fashioned banners from old maps, and decorated passports for the class. All of that soothes me, maybe because there are instructions to follow, but there’s always a way to make each project your own, a way to make the project even cooler.
These days, I need all the distractions I can get.
