Festival of Lights and Hope – Night Six

The Hanukkah miracle tonight is that Eliza is doing much better and is back to her bubbly adventurous self, albeit with an occasional gnarly-sounding cough. She chased the dog around, played with her blocks and new toys, and was absolutely content as she climbed everything. It was a little stressful watching her and working from home, but absolutely worth it. 

I had a certain idea of what this year’s Hanukkah celebrations would look like and while I’m sad that we had to step back from communal celebrations, it still feels magical. My family is in good health, we’re surrounded by people who love us, and life is generally good. What more could I possibly ask for?
