Day 269
We settled on a Hebrew name for the baby today, which I’m excited about. I get to raise a Jewish baby and there are so many things I want to do and have them experience that I didn’t have a chance to do since I converted as an adult.
I’ve also been thinking a lot about how Mom raised me and what I want to incorporate when we’re raising this baby. I know it must have been difficult at times for my mom, especially as a single parent, but the joy and love I see in the pictures of us from the first few years of my life (and my entire life really) and my own memories show me that it was worth it to her. I just want my baby to know that kind of love from us and I know she will.
