Day 85

I finally bought a new mattress and bed frame a couple of days ago. My current one is embarrassingly old, so it was definitely time to buy a new one. This is going to sound weird, but o kept going back and forth as to whether or not I wanted to get a new mattress. I remember buying this one at Mattress Firm with my mom. It was a few months after I had finished grad school and we went after I got off work. It was already dark, so it must have been after daylight savings time ended. I went around trying out different ones while my mom was the adult fussing about prices. We finally settled on a mattress and box spring.

I hadn’t thought about this memory in a long time. I guess it feels like it’s yet another piece of my mom that I’m letting go of, if that makes any sense.
