Day 162

I’ve mentioned before that my mom wasn’t very outwardly emotional. I know she was proud of me and what I’ve accomplished, even if she didn’t use those words. She showed love in her own way, with a teasing remark or giving me a new piece of jewelry or giving me a rare unsolicited hug or just giving me a certain kind of smile. Going through my mom’s papers is giving me a little more insight into who she was and it’s devastating that I will never know certain parts of her life and what made her the way she was. I miss her so much and I wish I could talk to her.
