Day 255

I accompanied my mom to a court hearing about a house my grandparents left. This mess has been going on for a couple of years and we were hoping it would end today. It didn’t.

I’ve been the go-between for my mom and our lawyer. I dislike dealing with family and dealing with a court case against family is even worse but I do it for my mom. After the hearing and before we left, the lawyer suddenly turned to me and said softly, “You’re doing a great job helping your mom.”

That one statement made me feel better and also totally exhausted.
